John Forlines is the former chief risk officer of the Federal National Mortgage Association, also known as Fannie Mae, a government-sponsored enterprise operating in the secondary mortgage market. He is also the former chief risk officer of Homepoint Financial, a residential mortgage company. During a 33-year career with Fannie Mae, Mr. Forlines served in numerous other executive roles, including chief audit executive and chief credit officer.

He was appointed to the CoBank board in 2026 and is a member of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Forlines holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from the University of Dallas. He is also a certified public accountant.
